How to Trade with MACD

Signal Line Crossover (Classic) — MACD crosses ABOVE signal line = bullish (buy). MACD crosses BELOW signal line = bearish (sell). This is the most common MACD signal.

Zero Line Crossover — MACD crosses above zero = uptrend confirmed. Crosses below zero = downtrend confirmed. Longer-term signal than signal line crossover.

Divergence (Most Powerful) — Price makes lower low, MACD makes higher low = bullish divergence (strong buy). Price makes higher high, MACD makes lower high = bearish divergence (strong sell).

Histogram — Rising histogram = momentum accelerating. Falling histogram = momentum decelerating (possible reversal).
